Stickman spinning into a dark cape suit, surrounded by cards for saved preferences, script review, YouTube and LinkedIn publish icons, and a speed boost.

Product Update

Suit up: four major upgrades to Blog2Video

Saved video preferences, script review before generation, one-click publishing to YouTube and LinkedIn, and a cleaner, faster app. All four are live now.

Four upgrades, one suit

Four things shipped in this release. Each one takes a step out of going from a blog post to a published video. To introduce them we made another stickman video, and this time the stickman puts on a Batman suit. He spins into the suit, throws a batarang, gives a thumbs up, carries the finished video out, then crouches and leaps off the roof.

The full video and the vertical Short are both embedded on this page. Here is the written version.

  • Suit up: four upgrades
  • Upgrade one: video preferences are now saved
  • Upgrade two: review the script before generation
  • Upgrade three: publish directly to YouTube or LinkedIn
  • Upgrade four: a cleaner UI and faster rendering
  • Outro: blog2video.app

1. Video preferences are now saved

Before this release, every new project started from scratch. You picked the style, template, voice and settings again each time, and fixed the same things in the editor video after video.

Now Blog2Video remembers them. Under Video Styles you can create a custom style, and a style you pin as Preferred is applied to every new video. It also learns from the edits you make, so later videos need fewer fixes.

In practice, a newsletter or blog that publishes every week gets a consistent video series without anyone re-entering the setup each time.

  • Create a custom style under Video Styles
  • Pin a style as Preferred and new videos start with it
  • Your edits feed back in, so later videos need fewer changes

2. Review the script before generation

Blog2Video writes a narration script from your post before it builds any scenes. Until now that script went straight into generation, so you could only correct the wording after the video already existed.

Now you can tick Review Script before generation. The script opens first, and you can rewrite a line, cut a section or fix a name. When it reads right, click Save all & continue, and the scenes are assigned from the script you approved.

Fixing a sentence in text takes seconds. Fixing it after rendering means regenerating the scene and the voiceover.

  • Tick Review Script before generation when you create the video
  • Edit the script directly, line by line
  • Save all & continue, and scenes are built from your version

3. Publish directly to YouTube or LinkedIn

Once a video was finished, publishing it used to mean downloading the MP4, opening YouTube or LinkedIn, uploading it again, and filling in the details. It was slow, and on a large file it wasted bandwidth for no reason.

You can now publish finished videos straight to YouTube or LinkedIn from inside Blog2Video. There is nothing to download or re-upload, which saves time and money on every video.

4. A cleaner UI and faster rendering

The last upgrade applies to everything. The interface has been cleaned up, starting with a new hero screen, so it takes fewer clicks to find what you need.

Rendering is faster, and so is editing: changes in the editor show up sooner, and finished videos come back sooner. Put simply, the app is more fun to use.

How the four fit together

Each upgrade covers a different step. Saved preferences mean the first draft is close to how you want it. Script review means the words are right before any scene is built. The cleaner UI and faster rendering make the editing pass shorter. Direct publishing handles the last step, from finished video to your channel.

Paste a post, check the script, and publish. The steps in between now need much less work from you.

Four things: video preferences are now saved and reused, you can review and edit the script before generation, finished videos can be published directly to YouTube or LinkedIn, and the app has a cleaner UI with faster rendering and editing.

How do saved video preferences work?

Yes. Tick Review Script before generation when you create the video. The script opens for you to edit first, and when you click Save all & continue, the scenes are built from the version you approved.
